Job Description
Royal Kona Resort is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable High School Arcade Assistant to join our team! This casual, part-time position offers a fun and dynamic environment perfect for students looking to gain valuable work experience. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our arcade operates smoothly, assisting guests of all ages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming space. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with game selection, operation, and any questions they may have.
- Monitor the arcade area to ensure guest safety and adherence to rules.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on arcade machines and report more complex issues to management.
- Handle prize redemption, maintain accurate prize inventory, and keep the prize counter organized.
- Process transactions for game tokens/cards, ensuring accurate cash handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting arcade environment, including wiping down machines and tidying up.
- Promote a positive and energetic atmosphere for all guests.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the arcade.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic math and cash handling abilities.
- Ability to learn and understand various arcade game mechanics quickly.
- Proactive and attentive to guest needs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, retail, or entertainment setting.
- A genuine interest in video games and family entertainment.
- Currently enrolled in high school or equivalent program.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
