Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Gated Community Security Guard for a full-time, on-site position in a friendly gated community in Tucson, Arizona. This is primarily a sit-down role focused on monitoring access, providing customer service, and ensuring the safety and tranquility of residents. The ideal candidate will possess a calm demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor entry and exit points of the gated community, verifying authorized access for residents and approved visitors.
- Operate access control systems, gates, and surveillance equipment efficiently.
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to residents and visitors, answering questions and giving directions.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, responding to any unusual activity or incidents.
- Document and report all incidents, concerns, and security breaches accurately.
- Enforce community rules and regulations consistently and respectfully.
- Communicate effectively with emergency services when necessary.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Security Guard License (if required by state/local regulations)
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer proficiency for log entry and system monitoring
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Ability to sit for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or community management
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Knowledge of local security protocols and procedures
