Job Description

Are you a master of spatial reasoning with a knack for precise organization? DHL Supply Chain is seeking a dedicated Freight Pallet Builder to join our dynamic team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for meticulously stacking and organizing freight onto pallets, ensuring maximum space utilization and load stability. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and accurately build pallets by stacking boxes and other freight items according to established guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Optimize pallet space utilization using advanced spatial reasoning skills, akin to Tetris, to prevent damage and maximize shipping capacity.
  • Verify inbound and outbound freight against shipping documents to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and shipping goals.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent spatial reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly (up to 50 lbs).
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or freight handling role (e.g., 6 months to 1 year).
