Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first job experience in a friendly, fast-paced environment? Publix in Wesley Chapel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated High School Team Members with a local business focus to join our store team. This part-time role is perfect for students eager to learn, contribute to their community, and develop valuable professional skills while balancing school commitments. You’ll be an integral part of our store operations, providing excellent service and supporting local business initiatives within our community-focused store. This is an entry-level position designed to provide valuable retail experience and foster a sense of community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with locating products and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned store sections.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure proper product display.
- Support front-end operations, including bagging groceries and assisting cashiers.
- Participate in community engagement events or local business partnerships as opportunities arise.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.
- Handle customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate team members when necessary.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Basic math skills for transactional support.
