Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Foreclosed Home Trash-Out Laborer to join our team in Joliet, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for clearing out properties that have been foreclosed, ensuring they are empty, clean, and ready for the next stage of their lifecycle. This involves the removal of various items, from furniture and appliances to general waste and debris. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently remove all unwanted items, debris, and trash from foreclosed residential and commercial properties.
- Sort and categorize items for proper disposal, recycling, or donation.
- Load removed items onto trucks and transport them to appropriate facilities.
- Perform general cleanup of properties, including sweeping and light cleaning, after items have been removed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while on job sites.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments (dusty, dirty).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred, but not strictly required for all positions).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in junk removal, moving, construction, or general labor.
- Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- Knowledge of local recycling and waste disposal regulations.
