Job Description

Join FedEx Freight as a Linehaul Driver and become a vital part of our robust transportation network. This full-time position offers significant yearly earning potential, starting at $85,000, for dedicated professionals operating primarily ‘no touch’ freight. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight between FedEx Freight service centers, primarily involving terminal-to-terminal operations with minimal handling of cargo. We are looking for experienced, safety-conscious individuals ready to uphold FedEx Freight’s high standards of service and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment in varying weather conditions and traffic.
  • Transport freight between FedEx Freight service centers following designated routes and schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, documenting any defects.
  • Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and other team members.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs and records of service.
  • Ensure timely delivery and pickup of freight.
  • Maneuver equipment in tight spaces at terminals as required.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
  • Tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
  • Doubles/Triples endorsement (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LTL freight operations.
  • Proven track record of safe driving practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
