Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Analyst with a passion for supply chain insights to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting FedEx’s global supply chain operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets. You will work closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to identify trends, create actionable reports, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes that enhance efficiency and optimize our logistics network. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various supply chain sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform initial exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement within the supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate key insights effectively.
  • Support senior data analysts and management in ad-hoc analysis and complex data projects.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data models and analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Contribute to documentation of data processes, definitions, and analytical methodologies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on supply chain performance.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Foundational understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 1+ year of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of database management systems beyond SQL.
  • Prior experience working with large-scale enterprise data warehouses.
