Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Online Content Moderator to join our Trust & Safety team, specifically focusing on safeguarding our community of 15-year-old teens. In this critical hybrid role based in Provo, UT, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, monitoring online group interactions, and ensuring adherence to our community guidelines, with a particular emphasis on protecting minors. Your work will directly contribute to creating a positive and secure online environment for young users on our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor user-generated content across various platform features, including videos, comments, and group discussions, focusing on content involving 15-year-old teens.
- Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates community guidelines, such as cyberbullying, hate speech, inappropriate material, or harmful behaviors.
- Evaluate reported content efficiently and accurately, making timely decisions in accordance with established policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., policy, legal, product) to improve content moderation processes and tools.
- Stay informed about current online safety trends, particularly those affecting adolescents, and contribute to policy development.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and sensitivity when handling potentially distressing content.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance knowledge of evolving content policies and moderation best practices.
Required Skills
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
- Strong understanding of online safety principles and child protection best practices.
- Proficiency in identifying and analyzing various types of online content.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Experience with online platforms and community guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in online content moderation, trust & safety, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with local laws and regulations pertaining to online child safety.
- Experience working with diverse online communities.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
