Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Kingston upon Hull. In this role, you will contribute to a diverse range of environmental projects, helping clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes, achieve sustainability goals, and mitigate environmental risks. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations, environmental impact assessments (EIAs), and due diligence studies.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, environmental statements, and permit applications.
- Advise clients on environmental legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Undertake fieldwork, including environmental monitoring and data collection.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and policy (e.g., EIA Regulations, Wildlife & Countryside Act).
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel for site visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
- Membership in a professional body (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM).
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience in specific environmental areas such as contaminated land, air quality, or waste management.
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2).
