Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Kingston upon Hull. In this role, you will contribute to a diverse range of environmental projects, helping clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes, achieve sustainability goals, and mitigate environmental risks. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site investigations, environmental impact assessments (EIAs), and due diligence studies.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, environmental statements, and permit applications.
  • Advise clients on environmental legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Undertake fieldwork, including environmental monitoring and data collection.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and policy (e.g., EIA Regulations, Wildlife & Countryside Act).
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel for site visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • Membership in a professional body (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM).
  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Experience in specific environmental areas such as contaminated land, air quality, or waste management.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2).
