Job Description
Republic Services is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Dog Park Cleanup Crew member. This essential role ensures that our community’s dog parks remain pristine, safe, and enjoyable for both pets and their owners. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleanup of designated dog park areas, including waste removal and litter collection.
- Monitor and empty waste receptacles regularly, ensuring proper disposal.
- Inspect park facilities, including fences, gates, and equipment, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Maintain clear pathways and ensure all areas are free of hazards.
- Operate basic cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Interact courteously with park users, providing assistance or information as needed.
- Document daily activities and report on park conditions.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and walking for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for outdoor work.
- A genuine appreciation for outdoor environments and pets.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to various sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, park maintenance, or a similar outdoor labor role.
- Familiarity with local dog park regulations and best practices.
- Customer service experience in an outdoor or public setting.
