Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Warehouse Architect to design, develop, and manage robust data warehousing solutions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture of our data warehouse, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions, driving the strategic evolution of our data platforms. This position offers relocation assistance to qualified candidates willing to join our team in Palmdale, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data warehouse architectures, including data models, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance frameworks.
- Lead the development and optimization of data ingestion pipelines from various source systems into the data warehouse.
- Define and enforce data warehousing best practices, standards, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform data profiling, quality assurance, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Evaluate and recommend new data warehousing technologies, tools, and platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.
- Monitor data warehouse performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data warehouse architecture and processes.
Required Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, or related roles.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level data warehouses.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Extensive experience with ETL/ELT tools and methodologies (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, Talend, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
- Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault).
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
- Familiarity with data governance, master data management (MDM), and data quality tools.
- Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role within a data team.
- Knowledge of data virtualization techniques.
