Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically active individual to join our team as a Courier Sorting Belt Loader. This is an essential, fast-paced role primarily focused on handling packages, ensuring their efficient movement through our sorting facility in South Philadelphia. You will be responsible for loading and unloading packages from conveyor belts and vehicles, requiring constant physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that packages are processed accurately and on time for delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload packages of varying sizes and weights onto and off conveyor belts, trailers, and vehicles.
- Sort packages according to established procedures and destinations.
- Verify package labels and ensure accurate placement for onward transportation.
- Manually lift and move packages weighing up to 70 pounds without assistance; heavier packages with assistance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Operate scanning equipment to track package movement as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and timely package flow.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for continuous active work (lifting, bending, standing, walking).
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate package sorting and identification.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
