Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Cosmetic Tube Filling Assistant to join our production team in Geelong. This crucial role operates within a controlled clean room environment, focusing on the precise and hygienic filling of cosmetic products into tubes. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating filling machinery, performing quality checks, and maintaining strict adherence to clean room protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to product integrity are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated tube filling and sealing machinery in a clean room environment.
- Load bulk product into hoppers and empty tubes into feeders.
- Perform regular quality checks on filled tubes, including weight, fill level, seal integrity, and visual appearance.
- Record production data accurately, including batch numbers, quantities, and quality control findings.
- Adhere strictly to all clean room procedures, hygiene standards, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance as directed.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Understanding and adherence to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or clean room setting (e.g., food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic).
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience operating automated filling machinery.
