Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks on construction sites.
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, utilizing provided safety equipment.
- Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, and maintenance to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to and from work areas.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, after receiving proper training.
- Prepare work areas, including digging trenches, mixing concrete, and setting up scaffolding.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and senior team members diligently.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt.
Required Skills
- No prior construction experience required – full training provided!
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, bending, and kneeling.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Dayton area.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all regulations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role (e.g., landscaping, warehouse, manufacturing).
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
