Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our remote Security Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and critical field. You will play a vital role in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, contributing to the overall security posture of Concentrix and its clients. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to collaborate with a global team of cybersecurity experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS).
- Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents to determine scope and impact.
- Escalate complex incidents to senior analysts or relevant teams as per established protocols.
- Assist in the development and refinement of security playbooks and incident response procedures.
- Participate in vulnerability scanning and assist with remediation efforts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and investigations.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing).
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Knowledge of common attack vectors and security vulnerabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic cybersecurity landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH).
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel) or EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell).
- Prior internship or academic project experience in cybersecurity.
