Job Description
Are you a natural enabler, a strategic challenger, and a champion for bold action? Google is seeking a unique and dynamic Remote Yes-Man/Woman Mentor to join our innovative talent development team. This isn’t about blind agreement, but rather about empowering individuals to transcend self-imposed limitations, embrace calculated risks, and say ‘yes’ to opportunities for growth they might otherwise shy away from. You will serve as a trusted advisor, guide, and catalyst for breaking comfort zones, fostering resilience, and cultivating an unshakeable belief in possibilities. This role demands exceptional empathy, strategic insight, and an unwavering commitment to individual empowerment in a 100% remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one virtual mentorship sessions to Googlers across various roles and experience levels.
- Actively listen to mentees' challenges, aspirations, and self-limiting beliefs, reframing them as opportunities.
- Coach mentees to identify and articulate their personal and professional 'comfort zones' and design strategies to break through them.
- Challenge mentees constructively to embrace new ideas, take initiative, and pursue audacious goals.
- Facilitate exercises and discussions that build confidence, cultivate resilience, and develop a 'growth mindset'.
- Help mentees develop clear action plans for embracing change, overcoming fear, and achieving breakthrough results.
- Monitor mentee progress and adapt mentorship strategies to individual needs and evolving goals.
- Contribute to the development of new mentorship programs and resources focused on 'breaking comfort zones'.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards in all mentorship interactions.
- Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development teams to integrate mentorship insights into broader talent strategies.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in coaching (e.g., ICF, EMCC)
- Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative technology environment
- Background in psychology, organizational development, or a related field
- Demonstrated personal experience in breaking comfort zones and achieving significant personal or professional transformations
- Familiarity with Google's culture and values
