Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Admin Assistant to join our team in Kailua, HI. This role is crucial in supporting our regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring that Bank of Hawaii adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to the Compliance department, focusing on tasks related to regulatory reporting, record-keeping, policy documentation, and internal audit preparations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and submission of various regulatory reports and filings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records, documentation, and databases.
- Support the review and distribution of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Coordinate meetings and prepare materials for compliance committee meetings and audits.
- Process and organize compliance-related invoices, expenses, and departmental budget tracking.
- Conduct basic research on regulatory updates and assist in summarizing key changes.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Provide general administrative support to the Compliance department as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Prior administrative experience in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare)
- Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., AML, BSA, consumer protection)
- Experience with document management systems
