Job Description
GDI Services is seeking a reliable and diligent Commercial Cleaner to join our team in Guelph. This part-time position involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of a professional office environment during early morning hours. The ideal candidate will be punctual, thorough, and able to work independently to ensure our client’s premises are pristine for the start of their business day. This is a crucial role in maintaining a healthy and welcoming workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of office areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean glass surfaces and mirrors.
- Maintain supply closets and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage observed to supervisor.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for extended periods).
- Excellent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
