Job Description
Join Old Dominion Freight Line as a CDL-A Driver for a coveted ‘No Touch’ freight position. This role offers excellent earning potential exceeding $85,000 annually, focusing purely on safe and efficient transportation of goods without the physical demands of loading or unloading cargo. You’ll be a vital part of our robust logistics network, ensuring timely deliveries and upholding Old Dominion’s reputation for reliability. We are seeking professional drivers committed to safety, compliance, and excellence on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (Class A CDL) over designated routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailer equipment.
- Transport freight between terminals and customer locations, adhering to all DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and records of service hours.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Represent Old Dominion Freight Line professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement
- Previous experience with LTL freight transportation
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
