Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Director to lead our operations in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of our catering services, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for food, a talent for team management, and a proven track record in financial control and operational excellence within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all catering operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement innovative menu concepts that reflect seasonal availability, client preferences, and dietary requirements.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth to achieve financial targets.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of catering professionals.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and supplier relations.
- Plan and execute special events, ensuring seamless service and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior catering management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Exceptional culinary knowledge and a passion for food innovation.
- Demonstrable financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Thorough understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in food safety and hygiene.
- Experience in large-scale event catering or contract food service.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
