Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and personable Boutique Hotel Porter to join our stylish team in Swansea. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for hospitality, an eye for detail, and a desire to deliver outstanding service in a sophisticated setting. As a key front-of-house team member, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, setting the tone for their luxurious experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and assist with the handling and transport of luggage to and from their rooms.
- Provide comprehensive information on hotel facilities, services, and local attractions, offering personalised recommendations.
- Assist guests with transportation arrangements, including booking taxis and providing directions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and impeccable presentation of the hotel lobby, entrance, and public areas.
- Handle guest enquiries and requests promptly and courteously, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Support the concierge and front desk teams with various tasks as needed.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to ensure smooth hotel operations and exceptional guest service.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to assist guests.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry luggage comfortably.
- Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or customer service role.
- Knowledge of the local Swansea area, including attractions, dining, and transport links.
- Full UK driving license.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
