Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Linen and Laundry Porter to join our housekeeping team. This role involves routine work, primarily focused on the efficient collection, sorting, delivery, and management of linen and laundry throughout our Southampton property. You will be an integral part of ensuring our guests and operations have a continuous supply of clean, fresh linens. The position operates Monday to Friday, providing a stable and predictable work schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Collect soiled linen from guest rooms, public areas, and various hotel departments.
- Transport soiled linen to the laundry facility or designated collection points.
- Sort linen according to type and designated laundry procedures.
- Load and unload industrial washing machines and dryers.
- Deliver clean and fresh linen to guest rooms, linen closets, and operational departments.
- Maintain inventory of linen and report shortages or damages.
- Ensure laundry equipment is kept clean and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including manual handling procedures.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as required to support the team.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.

- Previous experience in a hotel, laundry, or similar environment.
