Job Description

Are you a budding policy enthusiast with a passion for international affairs? Chatham House is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a Policy Research Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in policy analysis, research, and project support within a world-renowned think tank. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth desk research and literature reviews on assigned policy topics.
  • Assist senior researchers in data collection, analysis, and report drafting.
  • Contribute to the preparation of policy briefs, articles, and research papers.
  • Support the organization and execution of workshops, seminars, and public events.
  • Monitor political and economic developments relevant to ongoing research projects.
  • Prepare background materials and summaries for meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain and update project databases and knowledge management systems.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required to support the research team.

Required Skills

  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in using research databases and academic resources.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated interest in international relations, politics, economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with quantitative or qualitative research methodologies.
  • Experience with event coordination or administrative support.
  • Proficiency in an additional language relevant to international affairs (e.g., French, Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish).
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in a research-oriented environment.
