Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and energetic Drywall Mud Mixing Assistant to support our experienced drywall installers on various construction sites in the Shreveport area. This is a fast-paced role that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for accurately mixing drywall mud to the correct consistency, preparing materials, and assisting the installation team to ensure smooth and efficient project completion. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately mix various types of drywall mud (joint compound) to the correct consistency according to manufacturer specifications and project needs.
  • Ensure proper hydration and smooth texture of mud, free from lumps or inconsistencies.
  • Transport mixed mud and other materials to installers on the job site.
  • Assist installers with setup and cleanup of work areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning mixing tools and equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures on site.
  • Communicate effectively with installers and supervisors.
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned to support the construction team.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Shreveport area.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety.
  • Punctuality and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in construction or general labor.
  • Familiarity with mixing tools and equipment (e.g., mud mixers, buckets).
