Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Hardware Store Yard Assistant to join our team in Colwyn Bay. This is an exciting outdoor retail role perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, customer interaction, and being part of a busy retail environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the outdoor yard area, assisting customers with heavy items, and ensuring the yard is tidy and safe. Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading heavy and bulky items from the yard into their vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe outdoor yard area, including tidying stock and sweeping.
- Receive and organize incoming deliveries, ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely.
- Operate manual handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks) as required.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering queries and directing customers to products.
- Conduct regular safety checks of the yard area and report any hazards.
- Support the wider store team with general duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects regularly.
