Job Description

Accenture is seeking a meticulous and experienced Microsoft Account Auditor to join our remote team. This crucial role will focus on ensuring the accuracy, financial integrity, and compliance of our Microsoft-related accounts and projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, identifying discrepancies, proposing corrective actions, and contributing to the optimization of financial processes within our vast Microsoft ecosystem. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States, with a preference for candidates based in or near Kearney, NE, for potential future team meetups (not mandatory for the role).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive audits of Microsoft licensing, subscriptions, and service agreements to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Analyze financial data related to Microsoft accounts, including billing, usage, and cost allocations, to identify potential savings or areas of overspend.
  • Verify the integrity of data within Microsoft financial systems and related internal platforms.
  • Develop and implement audit plans and methodologies specific to Microsoft account management.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and project teams, to resolve audit issues and implement best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with Microsoft's evolving product offerings, licensing models, and financial policies.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in Microsoft account management.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in financial auditing, with a strong emphasis on account reconciliation and compliance.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft's licensing models (e.g., Enterprise Agreement, CSP, M365, Azure).
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working in a global consulting firm or a large multinational corporation.
