Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Room Service Order Taker to join our night shift team at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Hanover. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in hospitality, as full training will be provided. You will be the friendly voice of our room service, ensuring guests receive accurate and timely orders, enhancing their stay with exceptional service during the quieter hours of the night. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming room service calls promptly and professionally, providing detailed information about menu items.
  • Accurately take and input guest orders into the POS system, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted.
  • Upsell menu items and daily specials where appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and room service attendants to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any order-related issues or complaints with a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all hotel and food safety standards.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, following hotel cash handling procedures.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks or guest service duties as required during night shifts.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking.
  • Ability to work effectively during night hours and on weekends/holidays.
  • Basic computer proficiency for order entry systems.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within hospitality or a call center environment.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (training will be provided).
