Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Scrum Master / Agile Coach to join our dynamic teams in Frankfurt. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding multiple development teams towards high performance, fostering an agile mindset, and facilitating the adoption of Scrum and other agile practices across the organization. This position is open to international candidates who possess the drive to thrive in a global financial institution and contribute to our continuous improvement culture. You will empower teams to self-organize, resolve impediments, and deliver value efficiently, while also coaching stakeholders on agile principles and practices. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a servant leader and coach for multiple Scrum teams, fostering self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Facilitate Scrum events (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) effectively and ensure their positive outcomes.
- Coach the team in self-organization and continuous improvement, guiding them to higher levels of maturity.
- Help the team to remove impediments and protect them from external interferences.
- Work with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is prioritized, refined, and understood by the team.
- Coach stakeholders and other internal teams on agile principles and practices.
- Contribute to the Agile Community of Practice, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Support the scaling of agile practices across departments and value streams.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a corporate environment.
- Deep understanding of Scrum and other agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Lean).
- Proven ability to coach and mentor teams and individuals on agile principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse, international teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to impediment removal.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or equivalent certification.
- Additional agile certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, LeSS Practitioner, ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Coaching).
- Experience in the financial services industry or other regulated environments.
- Experience with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with scaling agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
