Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Shopify Developer to join our growing e-commerce team. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge fashion retail projects with the added benefit of a 4-day work week option, promoting a healthy work-life balance. As a Shopify Developer, you will be instrumental in developing, enhancing, and maintaining our online store, ensuring a best-in-class shopping experience for our customers. You will work closely with our design, marketing, and product teams to implement new features, integrate third-party applications, and optimize site performance and responsiveness across all devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy new features and functionalities for our Shopify Plus e-commerce platform.
- Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to meet design and user experience requirements.
- Integrate third-party applications and APIs to extend store capabilities (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, marketing tools).
- Optimize website performance, loading times, and SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with designers and marketing specialists to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform, themes, and apps.
- Implement best practices for code quality, security, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, industry trends, and development tools.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience as a Shopify Developer or similar front-end development role.
- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Shopify API integrations and app development.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify Plus specific features and capabilities.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, image optimization).
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Experience with headless Shopify implementations.
- Understanding of SEO principles and accessibility standards.
