Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a direct impact on the lives of others? Mon Health System is immediately hiring Home Health Aides (HHA) to join our growing team in Morgantown, WV. As an HHA, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the comfort, safety, and independence of our patients, helping them to live fulfilling lives within their own environments. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, according to patient care plans.
- Assist patients with ambulation and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as changing bed linens, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, behavior, or vital signs to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with medication reminders and simple prescribed exercises.
- Accompany patients to appointments or on errands as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes within the Morgantown area.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current HHA certification from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or a similar care setting.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
