Job Description
We are seeking a highly professional and discreet Private Club Porter to join our esteemed team within a dedicated exclusive club environment at The Lowry Hotel. This pivotal role requires an individual with impeccable manners, a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to providing an unparalleled level of service to our distinguished members. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our private club members, ensuring a seamless, secure, and luxurious experience from arrival to departure. Discretion, reliability, and proactive service are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist private club members upon arrival and departure, managing luggage and personal effects with care.
- Maintain the security and privacy of the private club entrance and common areas, ensuring only authorised individuals gain access.
- Proactively anticipate members' needs and provide personalised assistance, including arranging transportation, reservations, and deliveries.
- Manage the valet parking service efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain an immaculate and welcoming environment within the club's designated areas.
- Handle inquiries and requests with professionalism and discretion, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure a cohesive and seamless member experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service, hospitality, or security-focused role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Proven ability to exercise high levels of discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to handle luggage and stand for extended periods.
- Valid UK driving license for valet duties (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Porter or in a luxury hotel/private club environment.
- Knowledge of local attractions, dining, and transportation options in Manchester.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- First Aid certification.
