Job Description
Join Kaiser Permanente as an App-Based Wellness Guide and empower our members to achieve their health goals from anywhere. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support, guidance, and motivation through our intuitive mobile wellness application. You will be a cornerstone of our digital health initiatives, helping users navigate their wellness journeys, set achievable goals, and connect with resources that foster lasting positive change. Key Responsibilities
- Engage with users daily through our mobile application to provide personalized wellness coaching and support.
- Guide users in setting realistic and achievable health and wellness goals.
- Monitor user progress within the app, celebrating successes and offering encouragement during challenges.
- Provide evidence-based information and resources on nutrition, fitness, stress management, and other wellness topics.
- Facilitate virtual group sessions or workshops on various wellness subjects as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic member support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of user interactions and progress within the app.
- Identify and escalate complex user issues to appropriate clinical or administrative staff.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong empathy and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in using mobile applications and digital communication tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of wellness principles and healthy lifestyle practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Psychology, Kinesiology, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Certification in health coaching, wellness coaching, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a customer service, coaching, or support role, especially within a digital environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems or wellness platforms.
