Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Expert with a proven track record in international expansion and multi-currency implementations to join our dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing and optimizing our global online stores, ensuring a seamless and localized shopping experience for customers across various markets. This role requires deep technical expertise with Shopify Plus, a strong understanding of international e-commerce best practices, and the ability to drive complex projects from conception to launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and operations to expand our global footprint and enhance our digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical implementation and configuration of Shopify Plus stores for new international markets, including theme customization and app integration.
- Architect and implement multi-currency solutions, ensuring accurate pricing, checkout, and payment processing globally.
- Optimize international checkout flows, addressing regional payment methods, tax regulations, and shipping complexities.
- Integrate and manage third-party applications and APIs to support global operations, such as ERPs, CRMs, logistics, and localization tools.
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure localized content, promotions, and product catalogs are accurately displayed.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on Shopify functionalities and international e-commerce best practices.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance for all international deployments and feature releases.
- Stay abreast of Shopify ecosystem updates, new features, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and configurations for international e-commerce platforms.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically with Shopify Plus development and administration.
- Extensive experience with international e-commerce expansion and multi-currency implementation.
- Proficiency in Liquid templating language, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of Shopify's API (Storefront API, Admin API) and webhooks.
- Experience integrating third-party applications and custom solutions with Shopify.
- Familiarity with global payment gateways and international shipping/logistics solutions.
- Proven ability to manage complex e-commerce projects from requirements gathering to launch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Experience with headless commerce architectures using Shopify Storefront API.
- Knowledge of international SEO and analytics for global markets.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other tracking tools for e-commerce.
- Experience with A/B testing platforms and conversion rate optimization (CRO) in an international context.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to our international markets.
