Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Poolside Porters to join our team for the bustling summer season. This outdoor, temporary role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment, love being outdoors, and have a passion for providing exceptional service. As a Poolside Porter, you will be instrumental in ensuring our rooftop pool and terrace areas are immaculate, well-prepared, and a welcoming haven for our guests. You will be on the front lines, helping guests enjoy their time by the pool, assisting with amenities, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the poolside area daily, including arranging loungers, towels, and amenities.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool deck, changing rooms, and surrounding areas throughout the day.
- Assist guests with towel distribution, umbrella setup, and general inquiries.
- Ensure all pool equipment and furniture are in good working order and safely stored.
- Monitor guest activity around the pool to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or guest concerns promptly to management.
- Replenish supplies such as towels, water, and other poolside essentials.
- Collaborate with the wider hotel team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving pool furniture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
- First Aid certification.
- Basic knowledge of pool safety and hygiene practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, throughout the summer season.
