Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Netflix Data Specialist to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of vast datasets related to our content, user engagement, and operational metrics. This is a 100% remote position, requiring a strong self-starter with excellent analytical skills and a commitment to precision. You will collaborate with various teams, including content, product, and engineering, to support data quality initiatives and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive data validation and quality checks across multiple data sources.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to improve data pipelines and data governance.
  • Generate regular data quality reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the documentation of data dictionaries and data lineage.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices in data management and data quality.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or a related data-centric role.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Prior experience in the entertainment or streaming industry.
