Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mobile Clinic Driver to join our healthcare outreach team. This is a unique hybrid role where you will primarily be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of our mobile clinic vehicle, transporting medical staff and equipment to various community locations within the Irving area for health outreach initiatives. When not on the road, administrative tasks and coordination can be performed remotely (Work From Home). You will play a crucial role in bringing essential healthcare services directly to underserved populations, ensuring our clinics run smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a large mobile clinic vehicle, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Transport medical staff, equipment, and supplies to designated community outreach locations on schedule.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic at various sites, including canopy, tables, and patient flow management.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-stocked with necessary supplies, and adheres to all safety regulations.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, etc.) and coordinate more complex repairs with fleet management.
- Maintain accurate driving logs, mileage records, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, community partners, and patients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Assist with patient registration and administrative tasks during remote work periods.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C Driver's License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving large vehicles (vans, small buses, RVs, etc.).
- Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry medical equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Proficiency with basic computer applications for administrative tasks (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical transport or healthcare settings.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Knowledge of community health outreach best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues with onboard clinic equipment.
