Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Train Station Porter to join our team at Lichfield. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our station and providing exceptional service to our passengers. You will be the friendly face of our railway, assisting with luggage, providing directions, maintaining cleanliness, and helping to create a positive travel experience for everyone. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers with luggage and mobility needs, ensuring a comfortable and accessible journey.
  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding train schedules, platforms, and onward travel connections.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of station platforms, waiting areas, and passenger facilities.
  • Monitor station safety and report any hazards or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in managing passenger flow during peak times or service disruptions.
  • Handle lost property inquiries and assist with the secure storage and retrieval of items.
  • Support station staff with various operational tasks as required.
  • Act as a visible and approachable point of contact for all station users.
