Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Criminal Justice & Criminology Intern to join our Law Enforcement team. This internship provides an invaluable opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience within a leading police force. You will support various departmental functions, contribute to ongoing projects, and observe the application of criminal justice principles in real-world scenarios, enhancing your understanding of policing operations and community safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in research and data collection related to crime trends, community policing initiatives, and criminal justice policy.
- Support officers and staff with administrative tasks, report analysis, and case file organization.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to gain insight into police operations.
- Observe and learn about different facets of law enforcement, including investigations, community engagement, and crime prevention.
- Contribute to the development of presentations, reports, and other communication materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict professional standards in all duties.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Sociology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct.
- Valid driver's license (preferred but not essential).

- Previous volunteer or work experience in a related field (e.g., community services, public safety).
- Demonstrated interest in law enforcement, public policy, or social justice issues.
