Job Description
Are you passionate about travel and helping others explore the world? Wakanow is seeking a motivated Virtual Travel Booking Agent to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will assist clients with their travel needs, from booking flights and accommodations to crafting personalized itineraries. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel-related services.
- Develop and present customized travel itineraries based on client preferences and budgets.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel restrictions, visa requirements, and insurance options.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally via phone, email, and chat.
- Process payments and manage booking confirmations accurately.
- Stay updated on travel industry trends, new destinations, and promotional offers.
- Maintain detailed client records and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using online booking systems and travel software.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping people.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with office productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a travel agency, hospitality, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
- Knowledge of popular tourist destinations, airlines, and hotel chains.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English (e.g., French, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo).
- Certification in travel and tourism.
