Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Project Manager to join our dynamic digital solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end web design and development projects on the Shopify platform, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, translating business requirements into technical specifications, managing project scope, and coordinating cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and QA specialists. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex e-commerce projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of Shopify web design and development projects from inception to launch, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Act as the primary client liaison, building strong relationships, managing expectations, and communicating project status, risks, and changes effectively.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, front-end and back-end developers, and quality assurance testers.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings using agile methodologies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues efficiently to keep projects on track.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free Shopify solutions.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Stay current with Shopify platform updates, e-commerce trends, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, specifically with web development or e-commerce projects.
- Proven experience leading projects on the Shopify platform (Shopify Plus experience is a strong plus).
- Strong understanding of web design and development principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
- Proficiency in agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Exceptional client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications.
- Experience working in a digital agency or consulting environment.
- Familiarity with marketing automation, SEO, and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of third-party Shopify apps and integrations.
