Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Cross-Dock Associate to join our dynamic team in Allentown, PA. In this fast-paced logistics hub, you will play a crucial role in the swift and accurate transfer of freight from inbound to outbound trailers, minimizing storage time and ensuring seamless flow through our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight from trailers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Sort and stage incoming freight for immediate transfer to outbound trailers based on destination.
- Verify product counts, scan shipments, and complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment safely and proficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Inspect freight for damage and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the cross-dock area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate scanning, sorting, and verification.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and scanning tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cross-docking environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
