Job Description
Are you a motivated individual looking to start your career in a dynamic and essential industry? Tesco is seeking dedicated Entry-Level Warehouse Workers to join our night shift team in Plymouth. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in logistics and supply chain operations, even if you have no prior experience. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our stores are stocked with the products our customers love, working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and efficiency are key. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed in this vital role.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders according to established procedures and deadlines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
- Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet Tesco standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work night shifts consistently.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 20kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical role or manual labor.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations or logistics (advantageous but not essential).
- A valid UK driving license.
