Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and community-minded individual to join Enfield Council as a Community Center Assistant. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our local community centers, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all users. With flexible hours, this position is ideal for someone looking to contribute meaningfully to their local area while balancing other commitments. You will be at the heart of community engagement, supporting various activities and helping to maintain the center as a vibrant public space.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Community Center Coordinator.
- Welcome visitors and provide information about center activities and services.
- Assist with the setup and clear-down of rooms for various events, meetings, and classes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas and facilities.
- Handle bookings, inquiries, and registration for center programs.
- Manage basic office tasks including answering phones, emails, and managing correspondence.
- Support the promotion of center activities through notice boards and digital platforms.
- Monitor stock levels of supplies and refreshments, placing orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the center.
- Act as a first point of contact for minor issues and escalate as necessary.
