Job Description

Are you a passionate and skilled musician looking to inspire the next generation of pianists and guitarists? Superprof is seeking dedicated Virtual Music Teachers to join our growing community of educators. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your musical talent and teaching experience to provide engaging, one-on-one lessons to students worldwide, all from the comfort of your home. As a Virtual Music Teacher, you will be responsible for creating personalised lesson plans, delivering high-quality instruction via webcam, and fostering a love for music in your students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging, tailored music lessons (piano and/or guitar) via webcam.
  • Assess student skill levels and learning styles to create personalised curricula.
  • Provide constructive feedback and track student progress effectively.
  • Maintain a professional and inspiring online learning environment.
  • Manage scheduling and communication with students and their guardians.
  • Stay updated on best practices for online music education and utilise digital tools.
  • Prepare students for exams, recitals, or personal goals as required.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in piano and/or guitar, with a strong understanding of music theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex musical concepts clearly and patiently.
  • Reliable internet connection, high-quality webcam, and microphone setup.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and inspiring others.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching music online or in-person.
  • Music degree or recognised teaching certification.
  • Familiarity with various online teaching platforms and musical software.
  • Ability to teach multiple musical genres or additional instruments.
  • Experience with music notation software (e.g., Sibelius, Finale).
