Job Description

As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan.
- Assist with grocery shopping and errands.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Document observations and communicate any changes in client condition to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and Bayshore Home Health policies.
- Travel to various client homes within the Stoney Creek and wider Hamilton area.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G-class driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and standing.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience in customer service or a related field requiring client interaction.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
