Job Description
BrightStar Care of Anaheim is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care, companionship, and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, tidying living areas, and meal preparation.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and adaptive equipment as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with self-administration as per care plan.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current HHA certification or CNA license in California.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervised experience in a home health or facility setting (preferred but not always required for exceptional candidates).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move clients with assistance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Vietnamese) are a plus.
