Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Recruiter with a strong Human Resources focus to join our dynamic team in Denver, Colorado. This office-based role is crucial for identifying, attracting, and onboarding top-tier nursing talent to support our diverse healthcare facilities. You will play a vital role in ensuring our hospitals are staffed with highly qualified and compassionate nurses, contributing directly to the quality of patient care we provide. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the nursing profession and recruitment best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract qualified nursing candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and career events.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial sourcing and screening to interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with nursing schools, professional organizations, and community partners to cultivate a pipeline of potential candidates.
- Conduct thorough interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and ensure alignment with HCA Healthcare's values and job requirements.
- Provide an exceptional candidate experience, guiding applicants through the hiring process with clear communication and timely feedback.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR business partners to understand staffing needs, provide market insights, and advise on recruitment strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other HR platforms.
- Stay informed about current trends in nursing recruitment, healthcare regulations, and HR best practices.
- Participate in career fairs, recruitment events, and other outreach activities to promote HCA Healthcare as an employer of choice.
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal and state employment laws and HCA Healthcare policies.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment, preferably in healthcare or nursing.
- Proven ability to source, screen, and recruit qualified candidates.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for a large healthcare system.
- Knowledge of nursing specialties and healthcare licensure requirements.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience with behavioral interviewing techniques.
