Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Returns Processor to join our fulfillment center team in Portland, ME. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of customer returns. This involves receiving items, performing thorough quality checks, updating inventory records through precise data entry, and carefully repacking products for resale or disposition. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect returned items for damage, defects, and completeness.
- Accurately log return details, product condition, and disposition decisions into the inventory management system using data entry.
- Sort and categorize returned products according to established guidelines.
- Carefully clean, repackage, and label items deemed suitable for resale.
- Prepare items for transfer, recycling, or disposal as per company policy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry objects up to 49 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or returns processing role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience with product quality inspection.
