Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Blind & Curtain Rod Fitter to join our growing team. This role is perfect for an individual who takes pride in precision task work and possesses an eye for detail. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the accurate measurement, installation, and repair of various window treatments, ensuring a perfect fit and finish every time. You will work directly with our clients, providing friendly and professional service while bringing their interior design visions to life. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct precise measurements of windows and doors for custom blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery installations.
- Install a variety of window treatment products including blinds, curtain rods, and related hardware with meticulous attention to detail.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to existing window coverings as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client questions and ensuring their complete satisfaction with the installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle, tools, and job site.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company installation standards.
- Manage time effectively to complete scheduled appointments efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent spatial reasoning and precise measurement skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Customer-centric attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift and carry window treatment products and equipment, and to stand, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in window treatment installation, general carpentry, or a related field.
- Experience with home improvement or interior design projects.
- Familiarity with various types of window coverings and their installation methods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
