Job Description

Are you passionate about helping young children learn and grow? KinderCare Education in Fishers is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for an entry-level Childcare Aide position. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive paid training to help you succeed! This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career in early childhood education with weekly pay. You will work closely with lead teachers to create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for children, supporting their development through play, learning activities, and daily routines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily educational activities and classroom routines.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap times, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support children's personal care needs, including feeding, diapering/toileting, and hygiene.
  • Observe and document children's progress and behavior under the guidance of lead teachers.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A genuine love for children and a passion for their development.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic childcare setting.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, as required by state regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., babysitting, volunteering, camp counselor).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
  • Coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
